NHS community service provider drives forward goal to be leader in digital care
Independent NHS community service provider, Locala Community Partnerships CIC, is accelerating its digital transformation programme so more than 1,000 clinicians can provide the best possible patient experience. It has selected Advanced to deliver the project and hopes the partnership will bring Locala another step closer to becoming a leader in the delivery of digital care.
The contract will see Advanced provide full IT outsourcing, managing all business-critical services, from desktop to datacentre, including 24x7 hosted infrastructure management on dedicated infrastructure, with backup and disaster recovery services. It will also include a modernisation programme consisting of a migration of its infrastructure to Advanced’s Private Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) platform. Advanced will provide consultancy throughout Locala’s digital transformation programme.
Locala provides a range of NHS community care and support services within the home and in clinics, schools and health centres across Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford, delivered by a team of health visitors, district nurses, therapists and other specialist healthcare professionals. The digital project will support 1,500 users, 1,200 of which are mobile workers delivering services to patients. Providing a consistently reliable technology experience is therefore vital to the success of the transformation programme.
